This is a BIG day here, and I am so excited to share about it because I have been dreaming of hosting another for quite a while!!!

I am hosting my 2nd Lightroom workshop in August!  What is Lightroom, you ask?!  In my opinion, it is the BEST photo editing software out there for you to use- and it is for YOU, any of you who use anything beyond your cell phone camera! Even if you use a point and shoot vs a dslr, lightroom is an extremely amazing and powerful tool (and it also offers awesome photo organization capabilities!). Read here and here if you aren’t sure what Lightroom is! 🙂 You might not edit photos at all right now, or you might play with free programs like Picasa, or perhaps you have been using Lightroom for some time, but still struggle with what it can really do, or it takes you forever to edit each image. While I believe that the most important step is getting it right IN camera before you even put the image on your computer, I know that isn’t always reality. And I am going to teach you how to fix that!  From scratch. No presets (no worries if you don’t know what those are)- just editing “manually”.

How to get started form the first time you open LR

File organization and import/export

Walk through of all the sliders and what they do

What to do to edit images that look MANY different ways out of camera

Solving problem areas

Developing your editing style

This workshop will include a complete walk through of the program that would be applicable to beginners and more advanced LR users alike, to help increase efficiency and help you find the style that makes your work yours!  It will include access to my go-to editing tricks, as well as reference videos from some of the images we edit in class to watch later and continue to learn from.

All you need is yourself and a desire to learn!  *Note: The Lightroom program is not provided as a part of the course–you can download a trial version to use around the time of the class and purchase with a one time fee or monthly payment depending on what you want to use it all for! Email me if you have any questions about how to get it/etc! You do not need a laptop for the class–if you have one you are welcome to bring it and “follow along,” but I think attendees will get just as much out of it watching and taking some notes, and practicing later while watching the bonus reference videos.
