As anyone who was a part of this beautiful day would tell you, this wedding was a long time in the making.  But it ALSO was a long time in the making to me…because I met this sweet couple a few years ago for the first time, long before they were engaged!  The groom’s sister is a super talented photographer who I feel lucky to have known as a friend over the past 5 or so years, and she had me photograph her family along with her parents, her brother, and his long term girlfriend a few years ago…and that’s where I met Kristen and Kane!!!  I knew they had been together for a really long time and were lovely together, and secretly hoped that very day that one day when they got married, they would think of me!  And they did! I was so so excited when Kristen contacted me about their wedding, and I couldn’t wait to see how all the details came together, because they are a pretty stylish couple!

I deeply enjoyed getting to know JUST them more at their beautiful St Louis engagement session last year, and it made me even more excited for their wedding.  They are sweet and caring together, and SO easy to talk to.  Kristen is a teacher so we had that in common, and I loved hearing about her work.  There are so many facets to both her and Kane that I got to know pieces of over the last couple years, and I have loved it all.  They had a beautiful, big, elegant wedding on Saturday at the Ameristar in St Charles MO, and it was my first time ever in a building with a casino in it! 😂I LOVED their rooftop venue, and loved seeing how many adoring friends and family came to see Kristen and Kane say that they were going to keep choosing each other forever.  It was truly just a beautiful day, planned and run by the AMAZING ladies at Signed Sealed Delivered Events and it could not have been a more smooth day.  There were a lot of moving parts– and yet it all went so perfectly!  Including a special guest during portraits who I can’t wait for you to see!

Red Dog!! I just love this and I don’t even know why! So precious! I have so many new favorites from this bunch! Kristen and Kane, I adore you guys and it was SUCH an honor to be a part of your day!! Hope you are LOVING St Thomas with your toes in the sand, and reliving your beautiful day as you see these!!!
