A year and a half ago, the Rising Tide Society began and I was immediately captured by it all. I have shared about it quite a bit here so to save those of you who have been following along for a while from reading it all again, I will give the short version and if it is new to you, you can check out the links below to read more!

Our Tuesdays Together group, which is a group of small creative business owners, has met now for a year and a half.  We meet once a month to talk about specific business related topics and help brainstorm and problem solve for each other.  But we also talk about life. Some of our group members have become such sweet friends of mine, and I can’t believe I didn’t know them just 1.5 short years ago.  Our group has grown a lot in that time, and the thing I will say over and over again that I am most thankful is that it gives me the feeling of co-workers again like I had when I taught. I am extremely lucky and have 2 other people highly involved in my business- but they aren’t there day to day. And my fellow Tuesdays Together friends are doing exactly what I am doing, many in similar stages of life, growing their businesses and families at the same time and it is just such a beautiful thing.  I am so honored to be a leader as a part of this organization, and extremely proud of what the group stands for and the cause of “community over competition” in and industry (who am I kidding, a world) that is extremely competition driven.

The Rising Tide Society has grown by enormous leaps and bounds since it began just a couple of months before our group did, and I am so excited to share this beautiful video about the heart of the RTS.
